Ko Olina Station - Shopping
The Ko Olina Station and Ko Olina Center are adjacent to each other, next to the old Oahu Railway & Land Company tracks. Planned for mixed use between commercial, retail and restaurants, the Station and Center are within walking distance from most of the hotels and residences.
The Ko Olina Station is home to the Island Country Market, a full service concept from ABC Stores. Very different from other ABC stores, the Market is designed to feel more like a rural country store – the kind of store that sold only the freshest of ingredients and people took the time to perhaps chat a little while browsing through the selections. And the selections are very varied, including wines, high-quality foods, assorted beverages, resort gifts and sundry items.
To being your day, a full service Island Deli features coffee, complete breakfasts and freshly baked pastries. Honey barbequed and fried chicken, fresh sushi, specialty sandwiches, plate lunch specials and island fruits are just some of the items you can order for take out or take back to your room, or better yet, stroll to the beach and have a picnic
Also located at the Ko Olina Station is the Two Scoops Ice Cream Parlor and English Tea Room Corner offering a nostalgic look back at an old fashion ice cream parlor, but with the latest equipment serving classic sundaes, shakes and scoops of ice cream. There is an English Tea Room Corner, where you can enjoy an authentic English Cream Tea with Devonshire clotted cream, scones, jam and of course, tea.
Just Tacos Mexican Grill & Cantina recently opened at the Ko Olina Center and has gotten nothing but rave reviews for its fabulous, authentic Mexican cuisine and freshness of the ingredients. Their Tequila Bar features over 300 different Tequilas, enough to make a tequila lover feel as if they’ve gone to heaven. Their margaritas are terrific and the melt-in-the-mouth Ceviche has to be one of the best on the island. As a matter of fact, they might be the most authentic Mexican restaurant in the state.
Ko Olina Hawaiian Barbeque is also located at the Ko Olina Center and also has gotten nothing but rave reviews since they opened. The portions are large and the prices are extremely reasonable. Honey garlic chicken and mochiko chicken are both excellent and there is a green salad option with a nice selection of dressings and brown rice option (to replace the white rice and potato/macaroni salad usually found in Hawaiian Barbeque places). Barbeque Short Ribs are another definite try with meat just falling off the ribs and Teriyaki anything, whether pork, beef, chicken, whatever, it done excellently.
